Seamless Universal activewear by Universal Performance: Review

The team here at Jogger.co.uk asked Annaliese Dayes to review the Seamless Universal activewear made by Universal Performance, a brand that everyone at Jogger Towers absolutely loves.

I’m a lady who has worn a lot of sportswear. I grew up as a gymnast and dancer and now as a model, stylist, presenter, content creator and grown woman in her thirties, it’s always been important to me to keep active, writes Annaliese Dayes, who reviews the Seamless Universal sustainable activewear from Universal Performance (UP) for Jogger.co.uk.

Nothing motivates me more than a cute workout set and UP is ticking all my boxes for me!

Let’s start with the style, the warming tone of the Luscious Red long sleeve tee (which is more of coral to me) really brighten any dull day and totally pops with the tonal trim around the waist and sleeve cuffs.

I love that the long sleeve T-shirt has slightly extended sleeve length that ends with a convenient thumb hole, which instantly makes me feel like a pro athlete! Trust me its an ‘all the gear and no idea’ type situation, but the gear is doing the most!

And what’s a set without the matching pieces? The bra top is the perfect length on me. I tend to find others quite short on the body and this one sits in right place to give a little more coverage without rolling up. Medium support, fully ready for my Zumba classes.

Now let’s talk about the four way stretch seamless leggings. Of course, that tonal trim is popping again, but that,s just the cherry on the cake, as these are one of the most comfortable leggings I’ve ever had.

They sculpt and lift the booty to perfection, without cutting off my circulation and still giving me a freedom to move. And while I’m not the biggest fan of a burpee, these leggings eat burpees for breakfast! They are utterly squat proof and staying in place due to a nice wide waistband, helping me avoid the dreaded hitch up.

All of that couldn’t be achieved without the amazing fabric; made from recycled polyamide and polyester, crafted in a single, continuous knitting process creating that seamless finish and if that sustainable composition wasn’t enough for you… each piece is coated in an invisible, eco-friendly, anti-bacterial solution that you can’t feel or smell that actually allows you to wash your workout gear a lot less, saving on water used. It’s like magic!

I’ve always been a bit sceptical about claims like this, but this magic it like Derren Brown levels! I took this set on a week-long dance holiday on the beautiful island of Fuerteventura.

It was back to back classes, some outside some inside, and I even climbed a mountain all while wearing my UP set; using UP’s ‘wash, air, repeat’ process until I felt it was time give it a wash, really saved me from having to pack 20 different work out sets and saved me from being labelled as the stinky one.

For that all I can really say is: thank you UP.
