The Balerno Rigg race has been running for over 50 years now and nobody is totally sure when the first race took place. The race is traditionally held on a Monday evening of Balerno Children’s Gala week towards the end of May. You can now enter online, entries close when we reach 200 entries or at 9pm the night before the event, whichever comes first.
The race is approximately 6 miles and begins and finishes at Malleny Park, home of Currie RFC.
